"Happy Woman Blues" Tryin' hard to be a happy woman. But sometimes life just overcomes me, Everyday I'm workin' just to pay my dues. Lay down at night, my mind is so confused. Goin' down south with the New York City blues, Gotta hit the road before I blow a fuse, I might buy me a Cadillac or a Chevrolet. I don't care what model as long as it takes me away [SOLO] I've been hiding my heart in a trunk. Can you come see me when my ship has sunk You can give me lovin, that I can't refuse, And love is the one thing that's sure to cure my blues. Goin' down the road with a heavy heart, Tryin' to find lightness in the dark, Tryin' to live my life, tryin' to get satisfied. My mind is in the city but my heart is in the countryside. [SOLO] Tryin' hard to be a happy woman. But sometimes life just overcomes me, Everyday I'm workin' just to pay my dues. Lay down at night, my mind is so confused. Lay down at night, my mind is so confused.

All Aboard! 03:36
"All Aboard" I like to travel on the train And see the life passing by the window Let the City at the rithem of a heartbeat And the clouds slide slow over the sky I like to stop in every town And see who is goin' up and down What kind of shoes High-heels or boots Or wich kind of book is in your hand So if you're thinking of going somewhere else I tell you to pick up the traían With the rhythm of a heartbeat Streched on your seat Lookin' trough the window How the season changes Once on the Amtrak to Memphis I meet somebody on the train Was a well dressed fellow With his note book and his pen When he asked me for my ticket I could just escape We ran til the last empty wagon And put his hands under my dress I closed my eyes eyes in Lousiana And I was back in Texas When I opened them again. So if you're thinking of going somewhere else I tell you to pick up the traían With the rhythm of a heartbeat Streched on your seat Lookin' trough the window How the season changes
3.
"Wild Women Don´t Get The Blues" I hear these women raving 'bout their monkey men About their trifling1 husbands and their no good friends These poor women sit around all day and moan Wondering why their wandering papa's don't come home But wild women don't worry, wild women don't have no blues Now when you've got a man, don't never be on the square 'Cause if you do he'll have a woman everywhere I never was known to treat no one man right I keep 'em working hard both day and night 'Cause wild women don't worry, wild women don't have their blues I've got a disposition and a way of my own When my man starts kicking I let him find another home I get full of good liquor, walk the streets all night Go home and put my man out if he don't act right Wild women don't worry, wild women don't have their blues You never get nothing by being an angel child You better change your ways and get real wild I wanna tell you something, I wouldn't tell you a lie Wild women are the only kind that really get by 'Cause wild women don't worry, wild women don't have their blues
4.
"Railroad Blues" 1,2, , 1,2,3 Livin' and lovin' That's how most folks make their way I always look forward to goin' home everyday Well I'd give a hundred dollars if I could be in their shoes Lord I'm so damn lonesome, I got them low down blues Everybody's got someone, yet I'm all alone I got no phone number, no one to call my own And every night that lonesome whistle lets me know when a train goin' by Some times when I hear it I wanna lay down and die Yodal lay ee, yodal oh, yodal eh. A whole lotta memories, and I bottle of beer Along with a lost love, and a jug fulla tears Oh I can hear that whistle whinin' when the hour is Lord the Union Pacific makin' it's way across the Lone Star state Well this is my story, I ain't a playin' around (nah, I sure ain't) I got an old trailer, on the outskirts of town It's just me and this here guitar and a bottle of booze Slappin' out a rhythm and singin' the blues Yodal lay ee, oh Railroad Blues
5.
"House Of The Blues" Mmm....Sometimes, brother When you feel like a motherless child Your piston seems to burn no steam And you're running out of gas There's a hole in your boot, cause you've been ramblin Ever since you pawned your car And it feels like years since the last time You held a dollar in your hand (Chorus) And it feels like the heavens are falling over you And there ain't a joint in town where your credit stills good But if you have a heart that keeps on beating We have a place for you Come and join us in the house of the blues (Guitar Lead) And it's been three nights that you've been seen Begging for a friend to pay you company But the only one who hears you Is that bottle of JD There's a light that shines down the avenue And the door is never closed for a guy like you You can buy a dream for a buck or two And you'll be the hero no matter what you do (Chorus) So if it feels like the heavens are falling over you And there ain't a joint in town where your credit stills good But if you have a heart that keeps on beating We have a place for you Come and join us in the house of the blues But if you have a heart that keeps on beating We have a place for you Come and join us in the house of the blues Come and join us in the house of the blues Come and join us in the house of the blues
6.
"Rollin' And Tumblin'" Well, I rolled and I tumbled, cried the whole night long Well, I rolled and I tumbled, cried the whole night long Well, I woke up this mornin', didn't know right from wrong Well, I told my baby, before I left that town Well, I told my baby, before I left that town Well, don't you let nobody, tear my barrelhouse down Well, ahh, mmm-hmmm, owww, oww ooo, aww, oww, oh Aaa, mmm-hmmm, oww, oh oh oh owww, oww ooo, aww, oww, oh Well, if the river was whiskey, and I was a divin' duck Well, if the river was whiskey, and I was a divin' duck Well, I would dive to the bottom, never would I come up Well, I could a had a religion, this bad old thing instead Well, I could a had a religion, this bad old thing instead Well, all whiskey and women, would not let me pray
7.
ARE YOU GONNA WAIT? Things have changed, there´s so much to do or are you gonna wait for the lord to change the world? The same lord that let us kill eachother and the one who let our children drown. Give me your hand and let me feel your power or are you gonna wait for someone else to do your job? It´s time to stand up, go to figth for what is yours we have time, we are togheter, and we are more. STOP teliing us how we have to live, STOP telling us when we have to cry, STOP telling us what we have to eat, STOP telling us how we have to die. Imagine there´s no countries, imagine there´s no pain no hunger, no liers, no one to steal our bread. This world is full of cheaters, and you all know who you are and i tell you one thing for sure, none of you will touch the sky. and we don´t need no Jesus, no Budda, or Alá what we need to change the world is to trust what we have inside

ORIGINAL ALBUM NOTES
(En Español mas abajo)

It takes a lot of guts to fight for your dreams, that is why when they turn into reality it gives us such a thrill. This record that you are holding in your hands is one of those dreams come true. Made with a lot of love, passion, hard work and pieces of our souls.

"Unplugged at Bop Street" is the name of our third Long Play after the very good reviews and public aclaim of "Rambler´s Romance" that opened the doors to us to a lot of interviews and radio play in Spanish, European and US media.

Do not expect a modern, high tech recording or a crispy production, we carry on with our Country, Blues and Rock n Roll for Desperate Souls and this album was recorded Old School, totally live in one live take with up to nine musicians playing together in some songs in a room packed with gear not bigger than a closet and using only ambient microphones in one hour time, during a Radio Show. Just as the old 1940s, 50s and 60s recordings of the BBC Radio and so many other Radio Stations that recorded the sets of the artists playing live, many of them to be released many years after turned into classics.

Some takes could have done with more presence of the vocals, others came out in perfect balance and no doubt there are quite a few magic moments, the type of magic that can only be achieved when the musicians are playing together, looking at each other, with no fish tanks separating them. Fish tanks are for fish. We are Rockers and Bluesmen and Women and this session has a part of the soul of each one of the artists who gave their time, talent and good disposition to help us with the recording. We send you all a big thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We had two reasons to make an unplugged, live album. The first was the dirty money, or better the lack of it, so when Alex Ruiz offered us to record the session meanwhile it was broadcasted live in his Radio Show, "Bop Street" we didn´t doubt it a second. But the most important it was the challenge of recording a live album with no tricks or overdubs, playing live during a live broadcast and to back us up we had the great fortune of counting with some of the best musicians of the Valencia Blues and Rock n Roll scene.

To continue with the cooperation between artists we decided to comission the drawings and graphic design of the album cover to famed graphic artist Antonio Chumillas, "Tete Chumi", also harmonica man of legendary band Dr. Divago. See and buy his art in www.tetechumi.com.

The capture of the session, microphone positioning, equalisation and mastering came as usual from Vicente Artal, "Soni" of Caraband Productions, our very own George Martin.

Recorded during the emission of "Bop Street" on March 12, 2015, directed and presented by Alex Ruiz in El Regreso Radio and published under the catalogue of the Valencia Blues Society.

Cuesta luchar por lo sueños, por eso cuando los alcanzas produce tanta alegria verlos tornarse realidad. Este disco que tienes en tus manos es uno de ellos. Hecho con mucho amor, trabajo y retazos de nuestra alma.

"Sara Gee & Ramblin Matt with Friends Unplugged at Bop Street"
